I now booking one for April 2028!!!

It’s our 50th (🤯) anniversary.

So the choice is Queen Victoria 14 days to Canaries and Azores (I’ve never been to the Azores) or my beloved QM2 to the Med also 14 days.

The QM2 cruise is identical (every port) as the Queen Anne one in 2024)

Not sure what to do! Any help in my thinking process would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Ian,
We called into the Azores on the way to the Caribbean about 10 years ago, the one thing you could notice was everyone with their sea legs swaying as the went ashore.Porto Delgada was very Portuguese with the churches and cafe's but if you ventured out of the centre it became more of a Stonehouse feel to it i.e. dockyard working area
.........although some of the artwork was different not sure if the 1st one is a Banksy
If we went back we would go on an excursion trip rather than staying close to the ship.

April can, of course, get a bit "bouncy" on that Atlantic stretch,(I don't know how you are with heavy seas)and QV does roll a lot like all vista class ships.QM2 would always be my preference, as, like you, I adore her. I haven't checked the ports for the QM2 Med one, but most of the Med ports are interesting enough for more than one or two visits.

If it is the big 5-0, then I’d stick with what you know. Some of the Canary ports weren’t that great, based on recent experience

Yeah booked QM2 to the Med. Plus I've gone extra posh as it will be our 50th. 😀

I have this very day written to Carnival about their launderettes and the way they shrink football shirts.

I know my second book is 17 years overdue but I have been busy researching. I've been on the trail of Yasuaki Kagami, asking where that cheque was. And yesterday, in Perth, WA, I thought I had found him. But, as the last picture shows, he knew I was coming and fled. However, though my ship sailed for Adelaide last night, he will not know that I return to Perth on 01 March for 3 nights.

I returned this evening. The lights were on but no one was in.
