Could Stapleton be involved??

I have heard rumours and I just wondered if there is any chance that Stapleton could be involved in this shady deal.
And if so ...what would we think?
I for one would be stunned and unforgiving without doubt.

Personally I can't see it -

(a) I dont think he has the money
(b) Ridders said he wouldn't be involved with anyone that was a previous director
(c) He'd know the public reaction to his return

I've thought for some time it could be a Stapleton/Heaney/Ridsdale carve up.

There are just too many coincidences and too much covering of tracks.

Stapleton originally invited Ridsdale down to Plymouth as an investor and he ended up running Todd and Gardner out of town.
Stapleton also published a charm campaign in the three interviews in the Herald - "it wasn't my fault, honest".
Heaney is very friendly with Stapleton and has said several times that Stapleton has been harshly treated.
New company PAFC 2011 is then registered at Stapleton's accountancy practice (moving from a Truro address) with Heaney's partner named as a director.
Stapleton said he didn't know about PAFC 2011. Really?

My guess is that Stapleton/Heaney/Ridsdale and a few others are behind Bishop International.

At the last Trust meeting, Ridsdale made a point of emphasising the words 'football club' when saying that none of the ex-directors would be involved.

I wasn't the only one to notice that. There were a few others on the thread about that meeting.

Highly unlikely that he is involved.

I think he even knows that it would be foolish to even contemplate that idea.

to be honest I would only be annoyed if it was kagami and todd etc who were involved.
That said I hope Stapleton has the decency to walk away from Plymouth Argyle as a whole

I think he has every reason to be involved.

Is he not one of three co-guarantors of the Lombard debt?

When you add the land to that already owned next door 'S' - big old footprint for the builders!

How would heaney's group benefit from stapleton being involved? We can assume he doesn't have the money or partners prepared to invest because we wouldn't be in this mess if he did. His involvement would be a pr disaster so that's not it. If he is involved it can only be the land.

He do not own any land, it is leased and own by PCC which our Viv as said No PCC land will be use

I bow to your superior knowledge then - thought he and others bought it!! Actually if true I'll sleep a little easier, downgrading my fears from that his angle!! :) :) :) :) :) :)

From a pass PASOTI thread

Anyone know what Stapleton and the other directors who bought the lease on Peverell Park are planning to do with it? Any reason why he has bought it, thrown the cricket club off it and left it to go to rack and ruin?
I remind people that when Stapleton first had negotiations over the lease he told the cricket club that the ground would be levelled to produce a 1st class outfield for the cricket club to use between April and September and Argyle would use it for specialised skill based training beteween September to April. A few months later after he got the lease the cricket club were served 3 days notice to vacate the site. Stapleton and his mates proved themselves to be unreliable then and have gone on to be unreliable.

If this land is included in Heaney's plans which are being discussed with the Council, we have our answer. Simples.
