Stansfield might to be the impressive loan signing who, after the clamour to sign as a permanent, turns out to be underwhelming when the expectation levels rise and the pressure of cost, contract and permanence kicks in.

I expect we could all name an example. Rods and back come to mind for the people running Birmingham comes to mind.

Their multi million spending spree must have been comforting tonight as they took on Walsall in the EFL Trophy.......🫢

It's not the first time that Birmingham have done similar where they have paid big money and failed to perform. A certain Mr Cosgrove comes to mind.

The Birmingham owner wants EFL league games to be played in the US.

I wonder how many people would turn up to Yankee Stadium to watch Crawley Town v Walsall.

Isn’t it mainly the games against Wrexham they want to be played over there?

Was an article flying around during pre season, saying something like they asked the EFL but they said no

He was talking about it yesterday as well. He really wants it to happen but seems to have accepted that it won't.

The problem is that once one team does it, it's impossible to stop anyone else doing it.

It would only work out for them two teams really, obviously Wrexham got a big following over there now because of who owns them but not sure if Birmingham is well supported over there. Hopefully EFL stick to their word and don’t let it happen

Having watched 15 minutes or so towards the end, I think we should all call their bluff and let them stage that fixture wherever they like.

Any demand to see either team again will evaporate quite quickly. It was a punish to sit through the squabbling on the field and just as bad listening to the elements of the crowd who were lording it over Wrexham whilst overlooking the fact they're in the same division just two years after Wrexham weren't even in the league.

Fortunately there was a game from La Liga on at the same time which was a much better offering.

The Brady guy involved with Birmingham couldn't have looked less disinterested or more confused about what was going on in front of him.

Birmingham or Wrexham? Ideally neither would be promoted, but I can't decide whose failure to win promotion would give me more satisfaction.
