He' s only 21 , so loads of development opportunities, scored 14/15 for Walsall last season- not many short of what Tolaj scored in L2 at an older age. Charlton supposedly want Ā£1m , not sure if he' s worth that but is a good prospect.
Thatās great for the club.
I donāt see why a club that maybe wanted bim didnāt make a bid whilst it was in place?
If someone wanted him, why wait to pay a premium?
Exactly that would make no sense at all and gives me hope that he might stay. The only way it might still happen is if a club was unable to secure their first choice striker and so went for Pepple as plan B or C.
I watched and listened to the press conference as well . Of course he could go but with the news that his release clause is time expired the club has more control. I also don't see a move for him being made before the season starts . I think ,judging from Derek's comments we are looking for a bit more experience.
I believe it is definitely in Bimās best interests for him to stay at Argyle for at least another season. If he moved into the Championship for example, I can see him stagnating on the bench, similarly to Hardie. Besides, he only really started to show good form in the latter part of the season so needs to prove himself over a longer period in my opinion. If his release clause is no longer in place and we can renegotiate his contract on a slightly better deal thatās great.
Hardie has benefited hugely from moving to Wrexham - these people donāt play football for fun they do it build a secure future for themselves and their families - if Hardie could turn back time I bet he would still make the same decision
I'm not so sure. There were other championship options on the table. Could have taken one of those, played regularly and had a nice summer vacation in the States.
Millwall's average wage wouldnt be more than 14k. Probably their top earner (Coburn) is on 14k. Preston probably similar. Mumba was allegedly on more than that when we were in the Championship, so we aren't a million miles away financially from some teams that can compete at the level. It's more difficult, obviously. But if we had paid Ā£2M for Tolaj last season as a Championship club, his 15 - 20 goals would have made him worth 10M plus now.
It is do able. Just very difficult having a sensible budget.
Perhaps. What I really meant was in moving to the championship. I have to say I am not so sure he would have thrived at any championship club. He experienced the alchemy here that some players do at some clubs, I am not sure his game was ever complete enough to thrive at a random championship club.
Probably not complete enough for a top Champ club, but I feel he would have done ok at a lower-half club. He was just unfortunate (or unwise) to pick Wrexham, whose ambitions are much higher than that, and was squeezed out.
On the other hand, as other posters have pointed out, a couple of seasons on Wrexham wages will set him and his family up nicely. So, much as he would probably have liked to play more, I doubt he is regretting the move.

Yep - and they need to sell / loan as they have too many players . However , if we can we should probably go for both Kanu and Mellon .
