Ok then imagine waking up every morning knowing you’re nearly 4 grand better off than when you went to bed

Seems high, they were talking finances on the radio today with the potential 1.5b package the football league are hoping to sort with the Premier league, they said average championship wage is £14k per week. Tolly is unproven at that level even though we all know how good he is. That's a very high wage for city to pay straight off on arrival from league oneI was told today that Tolaj is now on £27k a week.
I would imagine your comment above would be a stretch in that case.
Makes Tolaj wage as £1.4m per year less tax etc.Seems high, they were talking finances on the radio today with the potential 1.5b package the football league are hoping to sort with the Premier league, they said average championship wage is £14k per week. When you consider who bankrolls Bristol City that weekly wage is probably extremely small change to Steve LansdownI was told today that Tolaj is now on £27k a week.

Very simple. We won't.It does make me wonder, even if we get new investors, how are we ever going to compete at championship level if mid table teams are now paying in excess of £25k a week for players
We got two things wrong in the championship (1) in general terms, the belief we had some of magic formula which I think bred complacency that we did not need real experience when in fact the stars just aligned in a one off fashion for our promotion year (2) more specifically, the appointments of Foster and Rooney, for different reasons both disastrous appointments. It has been proven by other clubs, that you can have lots of success by being smart in the transfer market. It's not all about money. I think the last time we gained promotion to the championship, we were very much 'rabbits in the headlights' and slightly naive to certain things. If/when we get back there again, I hope we can draw on past experiences to help us sustain ourselves as a Championship club.
I agree and would add the failure to part company with Rooney about six weeks earlier than we did. Those ten games could have kept us up.We got two things wrong in the championship (1) in general terms, the belief we had some of magic formula which I think bred complacency that we did not need real experience when in fact the stars just aligned in a one off fashion for our promotion year (2) more specifically, the appointments of Foster and Rooney, for different reasons both disastrous appointments.
How elegantly articulated - and, how true.My main takeaway from the last fans forum was the sadness in the way Simon Hallett spoke about the state of football today. There is almost zero chance for Argyle to get to the upper levels of the game and any small possibility that remains would see the club change into something we wouldn’t recognise and for many, wouldn’t want
