Makes good sense all round. So the screen was considered for the Devonport End and Mayflower corner but that wasn’t a go-er. Wonder if anything will be done with that corner in the close season as part of the other general improvements being made to HHP…
How many actual seats are we going to lose in having this big screen installed ?
By my estimates looking at the picture we’d lose the final 4 rows of the block, so 124 seats in total. But this is only guesswork looking at the artists impression.

The club have pulled off something remarkable here. Rather than sort out the issues with the Grandstand this summer and increase capacity, they have managed to find a new project that reduces the capacity even further.

Indeed. I would say that's 10% of the budget blown on putting one of the corners in.
Would have been much better in one of the undeveloped corners! How are people sitting in the back rows of the Lyndhurst supposed to see it. Still, as long as the once a season visitor corporate people can see it then that's all that matters!
I suppose the only way of making sure everyone can see it is to put 2 screens in and that isn't going to happen!

Surely sticking it in the away end would be better as then most of the fans that wouldn't be able to see it would be the away fans and not us home fans.
