Half time 2 down. We had good chances, especially early doors, Ennis missed a sitter from 6 yards.

We press very high which is a new tactic, Hardie and Ennis push right up against the defenders and Mayor and Grant push up right behind them and it's worked a few times and we win the ball. The problem is when Swansea beat the press with a ball through the middle and suddenly Swansea are running through the space at Randell and the back 3.

Hardie is playing well, full of running.
Randell is good on the ball, he sure can pick a pass but struggles with the physical side.
Shades of england don’t you think? High press that gets passed through, huge hole in midfield , defence exposed with essentially 5 marking 3. When this worked best last year we had the legs of Fornah and Camara. This midfield way too lightweight.

Law will not be in the starting 11. If he is then there is either something seriously wrong with Lowes judgment or we can’t get anyone else.

Swansea haven’t even gotten out of 1st gear and we’re 2-0 down. Sloppy second all down to Mayor…shocking first touch in the middle of the park, robbed by a Swansea player who then takes it on to score with Mayor tracking him but nowhere near enough to close him down.

The sitter missed by Ennis after a lovely cross from Edwards and the composure and passing of Randell are the only things of note from Argyle.

Apart from missing 2 early opportunities we have been woefully since.
Our midfield has gone AWOL and Swansea are in control at a canter.
Looks more than 2 leagues gulf in the teams not 1.
Early days but we need a few more signings to be anywhere near top half of lge 1 IMHO.
Very disappointed at the mo

l think Edwards has created a few good opportunities with runs down the right hand side. Which is good to see tonight.

They are faster and more incisive with their passing. Which is to be expected.

We are lacking someone with and end product though in midfield. Their first goal was a problem we seen too many times already. Mayor comes short for the ball. Tries to turn inside our half. He loses the ball and we are opened up easily.

l just don’t get it. We want Mayor to do that stuff in the final third. Out on the left. Instead he is deep inside our own half in the centre of the pitch. Stonebridge said that it’s better they try these things now in pre-season. Except we have been doing that for past two seasons and it doesn’t work.

Mayor isn’t a CM. Never is. Never will be. The problem isn’t Mayor. It’s where Lowe plays Mayor.

Personally I think are defence looks allot better than it did last season, calm on the ball making there headers and challenges, two lucky goals. Don’t know how anyone can moan about our defence. Attacking quality is a different story.

Possibly. Lowe did recently say he wanted the strikers to press higher, the problem is the midfielders also press high and one good ball through us and we're in trouble, although great if our press works.
Lots of running for our strikers.

Why people need to be so critical of the lads in a PSF is beyond me- we are playing a team that lost in a Play off final to get to the promised land
Yes Swansea have quality that we cannot compete with but we have had chances & if they had gone in would people be so critical probably not
I have been very impressed with Dan Scarr- he is like a hoover in the air

Great play by Randell for the goal. Nice ball down the line by Edwards & Hardie had to stick that away.
