Really want Argyle to win Saturday of course, but don't want them to get relegated. I drink around Mortonhampstead and Bovey Tracey areas, and know a few Exeter fans, all good lads and just like a bit of banter. Plus it is surely better to have Devon clubs competing in the highest league they can financially. May the best team win Saturday, it will be Green.

I was about to quip that it must irk Exeter fans to drink in Moretonhampstead's Plymouth Inn. But I've checked and apparently it closed in 2003, I've lived away from Devon too long.
I often have a pint in the Exeter Inn at Modbury, wearing my Argyle shirt. Name of the pub doesn't bother me at all. In fact, I consider the pub to be duly annexed!

A very long shot admittedly...

Any Argyle fans who live in / have recently lived in Sydney and know of a pub that might show the game?

I want to make the most of the 9:30PM (local time) kick off!

I would definitely find some sports bars and make sure they stick the game on. It's a shame I'm not there. I get things done! Ask around buddy! Check online. Just make it happens for yourself. Ask a native? Other than than that...Hopefully someone is able to assist on here.

We are Argyle after all. We are someone everywhere!

I'm not sure I've been very helpful Dan. 😦

No, it's much appreciated!

Yeah I'm having a look online as well, but sometimes you can't beat a bit of local knowledge 💚

Looking back at the "Rate the Referree and Officials" thread for the Wimbledon match, Matt Corlett got one of the worst reviews that have been posted, as did the linos; one of whom, Sam Fudge, is also running up and down the line on Saturday 😵
Allowing blatant shirt pulling and physical assault, penalties and offsides missed...blah, blah.
Back then, after 10 games, he had issued 47 yellow cards and no reds. In the following 22 games since, his yellow card count has decreased slightly with 83 issued (average 3.7), but the red card count has shot up to 6. I worry that the tension of this match gives this ref with twitchy card hands the opportunity to create a hurricane with his card brandishing, with a few candidates likely to be victims (e.g. Watts, Cleverley).
Buckle up, I think we are in for a frustrating and emotional afternoon.
I totally agree. This match has a red card or cards written all over it. If they succeed in scoring first and then just parking the bus, we’ll get increasingly frustrated and tempers will boil over. As ever, we need to score first and get a second pretty quickly after to steady the nerves - as a previous poster said, they’ve not come from behind this season.

A massive game for both clubs and a chance for us to put the pressure on Stevenage. They will play twice after this game before we next play. Away to Bradford and then thier game in hand away to Bolton.

The pressure is on us to win, but it's better to have pressure at this stage of the season, than it is to be playing for nothing.

Whereabouts in Sydney are you? My son's in Randwick - I've messaged him to see if he knows of one...

He's just got back to me...suggests trying a sports bar in the CBD called Cheers Sports Bar. They have a 'million' TV's -so it's possible that it may be shown there if you want to check it out beforehand?

I disagree, I think our players deserve a little more credit.
Who’s to say we WILL get increasingly frustrated with tempers boiling over?
And that’s only IF they do score first.
If anything, I think THEY are more likely to become the frustrated ones.
Let’s be positive!

From looking at the Exeter v Doncaster highlights Doncaster had a chance cleared off the line followed by an effort that hit the crossbar.
Exeter's first two goals came courtesy of Doncaster defenders literally falling over to allow the Exeter players to have a free hit on goal.

So the 3-0 score line looks a thumping but Exeter were very lucky and could have easily lost the game.
The same could be said about our 3-0 win on Monday. I thought we were a bit lucky and the scoreline flattered us
