What a West Ham side that was.

Argyle had made a bright start to the season at a time when promotion to the old First Division did not seem impossible.

Was anyone else there when the floodlights failed at the break with Argyle 6-0 up against Preston in the second game of the season. When someone found a shilling for the meter it finished 7-1 - not a bad side in those days.
