Does anyone rate this guy? I think he has real talent but sticking him on the right wing l think restricts him.

I know today he missed a decent chance, but l did feel he didn't do too bad. If you look at his quality left foot he has proven he can strike the ball well. I also think he has an intelligent footballing brain. For me he is a number 10 & by us sticking him on the wing is us failing to recognise his talents as a player.

Or am l seeing something that isn't there? That my opinion is more based on hope than any reasonable expectation.

I put every variation of Amaechi I could think of into the Pasoti word censor but I missed this latest one. 😁🤔
Done now.

I'm with you. He changed the game when he came on and offered so much more than Curtis. He's so hot and cold though. He got a start at Leicester and was abysmal. But he gets brought on and plays with fire in his belly. Needs to be given a run out

Playing Amaechi away to Leicester was a strange decision and did him no favours..we needed to play our best pressers/ out of possession players, which he clearly isnt …I thought he was good today and is much more suited to this type of game

I don't know how he .missed that chance. About 10 yards out, keeper badly positioned, could have put it either side. Didn't need to lift it. Inexcusable.
To be fair the defender gave him a shove and he was off balance. Still should have scored, but that's probably why he lifted it too high

I think he has talent . Not sure of his best position but when a side is playing defensive as Burton were especially after they scored he offers a lot more than Curtis . I'd probably start Curtis v Orient because there should be more space but at home v Wimbledon i might start him.

Absolutely is talented, looked lively when came on, should have scored, much like Curtis needs shooting practise. Seems perhaps mentally fragile to start games? ,

He's a absolute enigma. Full of talent and quality, scored a worldie in midweek, missed a sitter today. Plays well as a sub, starts the following week and is poor and subbed.
A player you hope each week will come good but doesn't seem to. So frustrating.

He made a big difference when he came on and all you can do is berate him for that.

It wasn't even an easy chance.

At least he made a fine run to get to the ball and get in front of the defender, although the defender managed got a bit of him as he did so, which I guess means he made amends.

It was obviously an easy chance. Shame I thought. He did alright when he came on aside from that. Certainly not his fault we were awful before he came on. But let’s not pretend that wasn’t a glorious chance to prove you right about his ability

A 45 minute player and id say the 2nd 45 minutes.
He can finish we have seen that, yesterday just lacked composure. Should and easy to say now side footed it past keeper.
He has ability but its usually for short periods.
Not a starter but better being a finisher when defenses are tired.
Another to add to the finishing practice as yesterday the finishing was poor all round

He was signed for the 4231. As was Watts. As was Patterson. Baidoo would also suit the 4231. We’ve got a fair few players who unfortunately suit a system that we don’t use.
Just out of interest, at the time they were signed who would have been dictating we would be using a 4231? Granted Baidoo was already here (but wanting out) but I think Amaechi, Paterson and Watts all arrived pre-Tom Cleverley.
