Several sources say he's 6'1". If he was 6'8" I'd have said he should have tried basketball!
From wikipedia, so maybe rubbish.
6ft1 does sound more plausible. OK in that case, no use in the middle, so can take all the throws:)

When we signed Graham Carey he'd just been released by Ross County. Portsmouth fans were telling us that Sonny Bradley was rubbish. David Fox had just been released by Crewe. Antoni Sarcevic had just been released by Shrewsbury. Ronan Curtis couldn't get into Port Vale's team. I back Derek's judgement.
Yep. I’ve given up commenting on the potential ability of new signings. Some players just don’t fit with some clubs, some are ready to throw themselves into a new challenge, some were played in wrong positions or formations, some fans are just bitter when players leave their clubs. I just trust the management who have done their homework and know what our team needs.

I've seen him play a number of times.
If he's been signed instead of Alex Mitchell then we're definitely 'downsizing'.
He doesn't strike me as someone with the leadership characteristics of AM.
If he's been signed as a dependable squad player then it's a sensible signing
This is my view too. Feels more like he'll take the spot of Galloway or Harding in the squad in that he'll be a very strong depth option who can cover a few spots.

The need for a first contact CB remains and who we sign for that role will be a more accurate barometer of our chances next season as I expect them to be one of our main starters.

Agreed. Another CB and a RB still needed but once that's taken place then I'd be reasonably happy with our defence.

Luxembourg and Horsham
Surely a Galloway replacement. We will need another centre back to fill the Mitchell-shaped hole and I doubt it will be the man himself.

Given that we categorically turned around our scoring-from-corners hoodoo, I'm liking this long-throw specialist reputation. Come on, Tolly, service like that is all the incentive you need to stay, surely...

Interesting timing of this announcement with recent events in mind
Cynic! What are you suggesting? :)

But seriously I doubt if there is a link. Apart from anything else, the women's team fiasco wasn't well enough managed to be able to time it to another event like that.
