64 teams at 2030 World Cup?

I’ve always felt there should be a separate World Cup for the smaller nations like Greenland , Madagascar and Scotland ..maybe call it the developing World Cup
Just a way to make even more money for the corruption. Also more countries probably will want Infantino to stay on as they'll make money on the back of it too.

I agree of course it is corrupt. BUT I do think the likes of Cape Verde have added something.

This is why it is hard to argue against further expansion. Biggest problem will be the duration of the tournament, this one was already too long.
I wonder if they could do it like Eurovision and have 2 pre-tournaments with 32 each the year before and 32 go through to the final?

I dont understand what format you are suggesting
64 teams could be accommodated into 16 groups of 4 with the top two teams from each group progressing to the Round of 32.
No best third place fillers are needed. (Only one of the eight made it through to the last 16 this year.)
The biggest issue with expansion is extension of the duration, which would be an additional 6 days. It only adds pressure to the same sets if players. It also adds accommodation costs for fans. But Infantile Infantino cares not a jot about players or fans or the environment.
