The picture of Mendes under Joe Holt, Who's that behind him? Doesn't look like Zubar or Soukauna?
Jordan Pierce - youth defender

Would it be right to assume, Simon Whaley and Shane Williams have already been released?

Williams has gone yes. Whaley is still around according the Rupert, He's got a injury.

Whaley's situation has changed. See Tuesday's papers.

The player in the orange bib marking Mendes is Zubar. This is Jordan Pearce:

Meanwhile, Argentinian winger Andres Guerrieri and former Everton midfielder Gerard Kinsella will continue their trials at Home Park.

from that quote on AW would have assumed that Simon Whaley and Shane Williams had been released, but i guess we will have to read the WMN tomorrow for the exact news.

Shane Williams' departure has already been reported.
