A young Argyle team beat Cullompton Rangers 4- 0 in a South-West Peninsula League game on Tuesday evening, Lolos and Goulty scoring two goals each.

Defender Niall Canavan spoke to the club website about the game against Gillingham. ....
ā€œI donā€™t think we can read too much into the game here. Their manager made a few comments about his team after that match, and Iā€™m sure theyā€™ll be wanting to put that right. Weā€™re expecting a tough game, theyā€™re possibly not quite out of it just yet, and if we can go there and get a result then thatā€™s great.

ā€œIt will be a keenly contested game, Iā€™m sure. Two teams going out to make sure they donā€™t get beat, but also looking for the win. It should be a good game, and from all accounts, it should be a nice day as well.

ā€œPossibly in the early stages of the match, you never know how these things are going to play out and how people are going to deal with it. All we can do is go with a plan, and try to put on the right performance, and hopefully that sets us up with the right result.

ā€œIf we donā€™t concede, we donā€™t lose the games. Thatā€™s as simple as football can be laid out. Weā€™re looking to keep a clean sheet, and if we do that job, hopefully the top end will take care of itself.

ā€œI donā€™t think that will factor in somehow, to be totally honest. Players are probably more likely to be aware of grounds where they personally have not had good results.
ā€œI donā€™t think Iā€™ve actually played there, maybe once if I have, and I donā€™t remember too much about it. It will be a bit of a new one for me, so Iā€™m looking forward to it.ā€

Derek Adams spoke to the club website about making changes for the Easter games ...
ā€œWe will freshen things up for this weekend. We obviously have players who are waiting to come in.Ā

ā€œPaul Anderson and Jamie Ness will train today and we will assess them ready for Fridayā€™s match, we will give them every opportunity because, with four games to go, we have got to do that.ā€œ
