Firstly Im 100% behind Derek Adams. He deserves full backing after the last 3 and a quarter years he has given us. I am confused however on him playing Freddie up front as a sole strike who is a very similar type striker to Reuben reid in that he likes to get in behind and run the channels. The reason Reuben left was because Derek insisted Reuben just operated in a small area between the centre backs just to pin back the opposition so that at that time Carey, Jake, Wylde, Tanner or whoever could do their thing in behind. This is exactly what Taylor does and did yesterday when he came on which immediately allowed Lameiras and carey to start dictating the play. Im not saying drop Freddie but could he not play the Jake Jervis role in behind/on the wing as was so successful. We should go back to what made us successful and got us promoted in the first place (4231)
Ness and Songo/Fox as the 2 and Lameiras/Carey/Ladapo as the 3 with Taylor pinning back the centre backs. We would soon start motoring up the league and pressure would be taken of the defence as when we just have Freddie up top we are exposed to often at the back as the ball comes back far too early.
