I haven’t seen it mentioned anywhere on here but sadly Garth died last night at the age of 99. An absolute legend of a man, I was priveleged to have known him and his lovely family. An Argyle superfan and a Dunkirk legend. RIP.

I hope someone tells the club and that something can be done. I’m sure the Legion will provide a bugler for his funeral.

I used to sit only a few yards away from him and used to love hearing his bugle. I was filled with admiration that a man well into his nineties still had such dedication and devotion to the club he loved. Sadlly missed. My heartfelt condolences to his family and friends. RIP Sir.

RIP Garth.

I spent a few years out of Devon so listened to most of the games on the radio. Could always spot Garths bugle and fondly remember him responding to Sparksy's prompts.

He was a bus driver in the ‘60’s on my country school route. He was ‘Shiner’ and his conductor was Ron Harrad. Happy days!!!

RIP, Shiner.
