It is with great sadness that I announce the sudden death of Suffolk Green aged 60.
Neil was rushed into hospital on Monday and was surrounded by his family, wife Gill and children Ryan and Evie when he passed last night.
A huge Argyle fan on and off the terraces he followed the Greens far and wide from his home in Suffolk. He will sorely be missed and I will miss our Argyle chat and banter on match days. Having met each other at Reading waiting for the football bus to take us to the railway station from the ground in 2005 (Argyle won 2-1 that day, Chadwick late winner) to our last game together at Peterborough on the opening day of the season. I thoroughly enjoyed your company and consider you a very good friend.
Ryan! I will make sure we get to some more games in the near future and raise a glass or two to your dad.
Barely a year on from our trip to Anfield to see the Greens silence the Kop I never thought I would be writing this now! From Central Park to Wembley, Suffolk Green you kept the Green flag flying high!
Rest now fellow Pilgrim and be at peace my friend.
