Following on from this I wondered which grounds were your favourites and which least favourite. I have tried to base mine purely on the ground visited rather than any prejudices about the opposition...
I have to say that I was quite partial to Dagenham and Redbridge's ground. Apart from pretty favourable results whenever I was there watching Argyle, the stand for away supporters (behind one goal) seemed to be the best one in the ground. I couldn't quite understand why that was allocated to the opposition. Also the toilets were more like those in a modern M-way service station than the usual lower league facilities.
Least favourite would be Whaddon Road, Cheltenham. On my solitary visit there, about 20 years ago, I had to sit in a stand where the leg room was even worse then the new Mayflower! I think I still have the scars on my knees.
