Thanks LC, you learn something new every day. I go past the velodrome on my way to work. Never knew it hosted football matches. Did it host events in the 1948 Olympics?

Dulwich Hamlet's Champion Hill stadium hosted Olympic football matches, crazy as it sounds.

It was indeed the venue for track cycling at the 1948 Olympics. Italy and France pretty much dominated the medals although GB did manage 2 silvers and a bronze at Herne Hill.

4/4/92. Peter Shilton became oldest Argyle debutant. Starting away vs Charlton (at Upton Park). 0-0.

He was 42 years 199 days old.

He played 41 times for us in total.

I am sure someone out there could tell whose (age) record he beat? :scarf:
