I’m not sure if this has come up before, sorry if so, but this is the predictor I have been using for a couple of seasons now. With three games to go in such a tight league these predictors only now start to become manageable.

Given the number of basement clashes yet to come there are still plenty of plausible permutations. Funnily enough, despite some early tonkings, our goal difference looks like it could be worth an extra point.

I usually have us staying up by a point.

I use The Fishy as well. Even at my most pessimistic it always shows us as staying up. Even if we only take one more point off Scunny we stay up.

Doubt that would keep us up. Scunny would probably finish above us as they have Bradford home on Saturday. And Wombles are at home to Wycombe.

End of season Prediction Tables

There are a number of web sites out there that do mathematical projections of the final league tables:

As at 22nd April at 1.00 pm

1.
http://www.footstats.co.uk/index.cfm?ta ... simulation

( NOTE Select the League from the drop down list in the League: button (Top Left)
AND then Don't forget to press the Go! button to start it off)

Its forecast Argyle 19th

2.
https://www.footballwebpages.co.uk/leag ... /predicted

Its forecast Argyle 17th

3.
https://thefishy.co.uk/calc.php
(This forecast can change a bit over a short time between matches, as the model brings in different variables)

Its forecast Argyle 15th

4.

https://experimental361.com/2019/03/16/ ... -mar-2019/

Note As at 16th March .... Argyle 14th

This is a site that is a bit out of date on its "League 1 Probabilities based on expected goals model" and is heavily based on results over the season so far, and does not take into account change in form (good or bad). For example, last season with Argyle's change in form around Christmas, it failed to forecast Argyle's rise up the table.

And for individual match forecasts ...

The University of Reading's forecast computer program RED

Today's match Argyle 0 - 2 Barnsley

But do not despair, it is not infallible.
