I have very little confidence in our team fighting their way to safety by their own efforts.

However they might have enough in the tank to glide to safety, as disappointing as today was we still had four teams below us also lose.

And so long as four per week below us do no better than we do, we will survive.

So the best we can hope for is that there are four sh1tter teams than us? That’s depressing. What really frustrates me is the standard of football played by argyle in the first half today is one of a team chasing promotion, we play some brilliant football at times but Unfortunately we have players, mainly in the back 5 of our team that are just not good enough. I think we’ll just about survive this season but next season I’m not so hopeful.

Survival is paramount...as long as we finish above the bottom 4...damaged limitations this season, learn from it and do it differently next season. Income from Grandstand, Corporate, functions etc..will generate money (hopefully) for use in attracting decent players with realistic contracts.

Won`t be finished before the summer transfer window is closed, as for learn from it, we haven`t learnt from last season so why should next season be any different.

ONE HUGE lesson Mr Adams can learn is that the Football Season starts in August not January.

You're aware the hospitality packages are being sold now/prior to the grandstand opening? Aren't the Pioneers ones going for £3-4k each, to cover the half season and the following full season?

That alone is considerable extra income if there is strong demand.

You're aware it's not the matchday packages that will get us the money to increase first team spending, but the non matchday income that will provide the extra funds.

That will not come into being until after the grandstand is completed and after the window closes, and I don't see anyone booking until they can see what they are going to get for their money and what the grandstand will be able to provide them. Expect extra interest once the grandstand (especially the hospitality) is up and running, but it will be too late for the summer transfer window.

So the Home Park website, sales pitches, social media push, booking forms, promotional material and marketing drive are all a waste of time? Simon Hallett thinks all that is going quite well...

“But we are now looking at an entirely different level of offering as far as hospitality goes, both in The Pioneers, which we have started to market pretty successfully, but also in the platinum and gold offering."

Not saying there will be hundreds of thousands raised, just the general point that the grandstand can't raise any money until it's open is false. The hospitality offerings will be pre-sold exactly like a season ticket, and the limited number of Pioneer memberships drives demand and spurs people and businesses to book early. That's exactly why all the fancy looking CGI images and websites etc have been made.

Simon Hallett has to say that, doesn't he?

Real interest will be generated when the function rooms are open and word gets around the southwest about the quality that we can provide.

Well if that's the case then Argyle's whole strategy will have failed.

The whole point of the sales pitches, business meetings, marketing events etc etc is to get people interested and laying down money before the facilities open. The limited Pioneers memberships drive demand even more.

People will be fairly confident from the information provided, people (Andrew Parkinson especially) involved and the images seen that it'll be a quality offering. Many will be wealthy Argyle fans or businesses that just want to be a part of it whether it's amazing or just decent.

If I earned a few grand more I'd have signed up for it already, so it's reasonable to assume there are 102 people or companies like that out there.

If you look on the official site it does seem on the face of it our "planned" pre season opposition for 2019/20 is much stronger. Maybe just maybe DA has finally learnt his lesson from the preparation of the last two seasons & will not content himself with just banging 5 or 6 goals past SW lge teams
