It looks as if Bideford held out against our girls, but as soon as they unlocked the gate..........................

Good to see a team who play for the badge.

I wonder what the record is? I know they put 8 past Torquay in last season's final.

They've a fair way to go. Plainmoor Ladies 0 Plymouth Argyle Ladies 18, January 17th 2010.

Clearly slacking off today. Sounds like they were a bit slow out of the blocks, only 4-0 at half-time. Still never mind.

I was unable to go today, but this score was not unexpected, Bideford being a few leagues lower, and beaten 4-1 last week by the Development side. It is true 'you can only beat what is in front of you', and when a game is so easy it can lead to slackness in play, but this squad just love to play football and wouldn't know how to take it easy. I have followed the Ladies side for more than ten years and can categorically say the current crop of players are the best I have seen, and believe they will finish the season top four in their first season in this league. BTW, their next home games will be at Coach Road. Well done girls.

Nearly forgot to mention a splendid effort with a 5 goal haul for Zoe Cunningham, and Pasoti sponsored Tamsin Med-Gill with her first two goals for the first team!

Are they available Tuesday night....

A serious question.

Is there any regulation to say that women are not permitted to play in a "first" (or professional) team?

And ... no one mention the change room issue - there are plenty of female physios.

I have not seen top level female players in open teams in any code, but female refs, umpires etc.. are beginning to appear.
