Ness. Was absolutely everywhere, broke up play wonderfully, and unlike everyone on Saturday he actually tried to bring the ball forward. Honourable mentions for Macey and Lapado, too.

For me it was a toss up between Songo and Macey.

Macey kept us in it second half with a string of saves. But, Songo galvanised the defenders into protecting our goal and led by example with some inspirational blocks and tackles.

And he scored the goal which tips the balance into making him my man of the match.

Songo and Macey for me as well.

I went for Songo in the end, but both were magnificent.

Songo’o was absolutely immense. He never stopped running, blocked everything, passed creatively and beat men (yes Songo’o)! Macey was excellent too, as was Ladapo and Joel Grant. For me this should be the starting team for Saturday... they earned it!
