Surprised this hasn't been mentioned today given previous conversations.

Looks like the cat is out of the bag with "attendance" figures. While I appreciate there are no real regulation around the numbers it seems a bit stupid some clubs knowingly inflating the attendances.

Just look at Arsenal last season. Made more of a mockery as everyone knew the numbers were overstated than if they just said who was actually there.

Surely there's enough technology around these days which can give them an accurate figure quickly enough.

I’m sure the clubs do know how many tickets are activated at each game but choose to not publisise those figures. In the PL I have always thought the biggest reason for non attendance is the moving of games for TV. Supporter groups would use those figures against the club so why realwsse them in the first place?
