I was watching the playoffs yesterday and could not believe how many empty seats were at the scum thrope game.
There fans don't deserve to be in the playoffs.

Apparently they still have a bigger budget than us. Any thoughts?

Is that true if so then I'm glad that we are financially stable. However if they make the championship they will be quids in. Is it a risk worth taking?

Yes, if they don’t go up this year, another failure after last year, how much longer will their owner be prepared to keep on funding them. When he decides to stop funding them what happens as they obviously aren’t financially self sustainable.

Nothing against Scunthorpe but it does make you wonder how they can compete with Argyle in this era of supposed financial fair play.

Just found this article, it’s a year out of date but it makes interesting reading about financial rewards for which league the clubs play in. L2vs L1 vs Championsip.
https://plymouth.vitalfootball.co.uk/ho ... inning-l2/

It excludes payments for televised games which provide additional revenue, from what I can find these amount to £86,000 for the home team and around £10,000 for away teams for those teams in the Championship.

Trying to achieve self funding status in the Championship must be very hard as the players expectations for salaries have got to be high.
