Recently turned down the offer of nearly £1 million from a betting company offering sponsorship.
With the number of UK gambling addicts now estimated at 400,000 this is a very sensible and responsible decision.

It was mentioned in a thread about budgets in November although back then it was reported as being £500k. Very good of them to take that stance.

Well done Luton. I hate how every other club seems to have a bookie as its shirt sponsor these days. I know Ginsters pasties are inedible, but at least they don't ruin lives like these gambling firms do.

Fair play to them. Good to make a stand against promoting gambling.

I would very much doubt those figures (estimated figures from a pressure group are always to be taken with a pinch of salt), but fair play to Luton for the gesture.
