And replace him with who for £5 million?

We currently have two players in Hardie and Whittaker who we purchased for a combined fee of £1 million. I wouldn’t take less than £20 million for the pair on current form which is testament to our recruitment strategy over the past few years.
I was thinking the same earlier prior to reading this thread about the value of the pair and I come up with a combined fee minimum of 30 million..

Is that me going crazy

As I think it's a completely fair valuation..

I wonder if we as fans have also fell into into the old argyle pricing of players. I I think there is many on pasoti who completely under value the wort of some of our players.

He's massively underrated by those outside of Argyle and IMO is the most intelligent and hard working striker in the league. If he was injury free all season he'd be sat on 15+ goals for sure and we'd be having the same £15m+ conversation.

When Southampton bought Armstrong last year from Blackburn they paid £15M- £20M . Admittedly he scored 29 goals that season but that gives a guide.

Let's be honest the lad has come a long way from scoring the winners at Salford and Carlisle
Was a hit with me from the start and that goal at Salford just before covid right in front of us was a thing of beauty. His hame has evolved he was too hot to handle in League 2 speed wise but now he's a much more complete forward it's fantastic he has grown how we have and tbh you wouldn't begrudge him a big move but only if he's going to be a starter if not may as well stay with us and be the main man

Always been a Hardie fan since enjoying increasingly close eye contact as he dribbled towards "us" through the Salford defence and scored the winner in a memorable 3:2 away victory. But it feels that he has had to work much harder than most to win over all, or nearly all, the viewers on Pasoti. Keep working hard Ryan and maybe we'll all be celebrating your first Argyle goal in the Premier League. BTW- he's also got the smarts with his passing.
