I can’t be the only one thinking that it was unbelievably stupid and naive to send Cooper up for the corner with 1 or 2 minutes left in the game…and then play it short?
Amateur hour. Very very poor and complete lack of football intelligence. Love to hear the discussion in the changing room after that shambles.I can’t be the only one thinking that it was unbelievably stupid and naive to send Cooper up for the corner with 1 or 2 minutes left in the game…and then play it short?
It's not sending up a keeper that was the problem! It was the stupid short corner that then lead to him being exposed.A poor decision that backfired spectacularly - but at least it was in a cup game
Maybe Schuey will have 2nd thoughts about sending Coops up in the dying embers of the game
He had a go at Cooper as Hughes was telling Cooper to tell them to hit it into the box. He didn’t seem to pass the message on.Cracked me up, mark Hughes is at fault, he was the one who gave cooper the nod I watched him do it then when they scored Hughes has his arm in the air shouting his mouth off at cooper talking about pointing the finger.
Except that it wasn't a corner...Gillespheys header against Chelsea was a classic example of a good swinging corner with pace on it. Mayor and Houghton are persistently used to deliver corners, but they rarely deliver a good ball with pace, more a lofted ball to the back or a low one to the near post. I think Randell and others ought to be given a chance to try it. Randell is a stand out on set pieces for me.
