Want to arrange a nice place in Devon or Cornwall, for a special meal ,don't mind travelling ,but needs to have great views ,so coastal if poss. ant recommends! would consider inland if it was a great ambiance and good food!

You’ll be spoilt for choice!

But I’d recommend Pier One on The Hoe. Really nice views of the Sound, but you’ve also got The Hoe, Barbican etc around you.

Prawn on the Lawn is the best I've been to in the far South West. You'll spend a bit though.

Longstore (great steaks and seafood) in Charles Town, St Austell.

Thinking a little closer to home The Bay restaurant in Cawsand is also very good and right on the waterfront.

No sea view but I can wholeheartedly recommend this place for ambiance and something a little different.

Marítimos on the Hoe has a great view. Interior is a little dated but the tapas is decent. The Ship Inn at Noss Mayo has beautiful river views. I haven’t tried the restaurant at the revamped Dome on Plymouth Hoe but the views are stunning. Multiple restaurants at Royal William Yard, mainly chain restaurants but close to the water and ideal for a walk after dinner. Also near Royal William Yard is ‘The Fig Tree at 36’ which is tucked away round a back street just outside the yard…I’ve heard great things about it.

If you want somewhere for a really special event, you can't do better than Lympstone Manor hotel near Exmouth. It has great views of the Exe estuary and the coast, and Michael Caines in the kitchen. Unlike many "celebrity Chefs" Michael really is in the kitchen. We have our 30th Wedding Anniversary lunch booked there in September.

Any places you'd recommend in Brussels for eating?

To be honest my username is about four years out of date now, thanks to the whole Brexit embuggerance, so I'm probably not the best person to ask any more! But when I was living there I used to spend an inordinate amount of my cash at an Italian called La Piola, which is generally thought of as the best pizza in town. Also a brilliant Texas BBQ-style place called Holy Smoke Brussels.
