The huge empty area above the Wycombe fans was really noticeable before the game started. After the game started it wasn't so noticeable.

What is interesting to me is that Sunderland took no more than 45k to Wembley. We took 35k to a play off final one tier below. Shows the potential (if not actual regular) support for the two clubs is not a million miles apart.

I think a far higher proportion of their 45k would be past/future regular attendees at the SoL whereas many of our 35k were really just there for the big day.

Yep Sunderland have a massive fan base if u look at their average attendances last season even after spending several seasons in lge1

Not really - we should be in the bottom 3rd of the championship I think based purely on home attendances.

So the problem is with the club and nothing to do with Ainsworth who should 'move to bigger things'. What a strange post!

Who would have him? The bloke looks a right state, I'd be embarrassed to have him on the touchline representing our club. Not to mention his 1980s style of football and love of the dark arts.

He's been at Wycombe for 10 years despite doing the kind of job that would normally see you poached by a bigger fish.

There's a couple of very good reason why he hasn't been.
