Siily season is well & truly in full flow

Social media clickbait on rinse/repeat in respect of Coops & Pan- do i believe everything that appears on Social Media - no

Only our club knows what is going on & because everything is done behind closed doors with no leaks i am more than comfortable with leaving them to get on with it

Coops has had a wonderful season & has a bucket load of accolades to go with it- but he is mature beyond his years- has is head well & truly screwed on & isn't daft

There will be conversations going on in the background regard Pan & Coops but it is a pointless exercise getting stressed out about every social media post

If Coops & Pan move on it will be because - it is right for the player & the club

Argyle is a business & is run as such- to be competitive we will have to sell players to be able to evolve.

We have no say as to where our players choose to go when they leave - but when they do leave it is for their career progression & our financial benefit to be able to compete

It is sad when players leave but football is a business & the club has to move with the times to be as i said competing with bigger clubs to get to the next level

To be fair this isn't a social post but an article and good enough to be repeated by Plymouth Live.
Football Insider do have some hits and misses regarding transfer news but were first with the news last summer that Dan Scarr and Callum Burton were joining Argyle.

I would rather he went to a Premier League Team we would get more money for him
Mid Table Championship won’t pay Millions for him.

I would rather he went somewhere that he is going to play and continue his development.

That’s why it’s more important to have the clauses for future success than an upfront transfer fee.

We want him to do well and going to a premiership team to warm a bench isn’t going to do it for him.

You are right but may not be for Argyle….are you related to him? Because your not thinking of Argyle your thinking what’s best for him.

Rumours hey, keeps everyone on their toes, but it's highly unlikely anything will happen yet as the players are on a break.
Cooper to Norwich though?
I think as they are a yo yo championship/premier league team they would be looking at better keeper's with more experience than our keeper.
Cooper to Argyle fans is the best keeper in the land, in real life he's just a good league one player.
If he moves on then I expect a mid table championship club to come in for him like Middlesbrough for example
Not the best in the land but I think the best (from what I've seen) in League 1. I didn't see another keeper in opposing teams with his array of technical skills (eg positioning, handling, distribution) and instinctive ability (some of his saves were breathtaking). Plus he is clearly very fit and athletic and seems to have a great attitude/ work ethic. He isn't perfect of course but his improvement over the last couple of years has been extraordinary. He would enhance any Championship level club imo but not much point in being a bench warmer, despite likely high wages!

I think he’s a good League 1 player in the same way Dele Alli was a good League 1 player when Spurs signed him.

Just by virtue of the several awards he’s won this season, he’s an exceptional League 1 player with the potential to be much, much better.

Sorry that’s rubbish. Cooper is an elite level player and imo will go on to be the best home grown Argyle product ever imo.

That's fair enough, it is just my opinion which holds no weight with anyone else's and I'm good with that.
I'm not in the loop at Home Park as you are and certainly others on here, but it is still my opinion he isn't yet good enough for the Premier league nor a top championship side.
I am more than happy to have a told you so when proven wrong, however I think a club like Middlesbrough is where he will go if he leaves at all.

If Cooper isn’t good enough for the prem now - can you make me say 14 goalkeepers in the prem who are better than Michael Cooper. I can’t.

From memory Michael Cooper has played just one competitive game against a Premier League team and a handful against Championship teams. Given that the pace, power, movement and shot speed of players at higher levels is significantly better than those in League 1 I think it’s pretty much impossible to accurately compare his ability with keepers already playing in the leagues above League 1.

Exactly Doc, just because he did well against a fairly strong Chelsea he is suddenly England quality, just nonsense.
When Southgate is spotted watching him on a regular basis and mentions him then we should be expecting a call up against San Marino but until then I think a bit of realism is needed.

No one ever said that Cooper would be called up for England while playing for Argyle in the 3rd tier. Clearly he needs to be playing higher up the leagues for Southgate to watch him more often. Even Warnock who is one of the most experienced managers ever said he think Michael Cooper will play for England one day.

Defences are also much better.

Well I'm sticking with my unpopular opinion, he will go to a mediocre championship side if he leaves not a yo yo club like Norwich, his first England game if it happens will be a newspaper reading opportunity against San Marino
