I'm really liking our policy of trying to get talented younger players that we may or may not pay a fee for and then look to develop them so we either keep a really good player or sell them for the money to go back into the pot to buy new players. Seems to be similar to how Peterborough have operated, which has been quite successful for them over the years.
Surely we need players who are good now not those who may be descent in three or four years time!! Getting promotion is the priority not just coaching!!

Interestingly on the Wednesday meltdown forum last night when talking about rebuilding for next season one Owl demanded they sign Twine and Jephcott !

The problem comes when you’ve developed the (hypothetical) player into something half decent, and you decide to cash in to avoid him going for nothing. At that point everyone changes tune and doesn’t want him sold.
