Oh dear , we have needed a screen and enhanced facilities for years and now we have got one coming we are
More concerned about the small number of seats we will lose in a stadium that only sold out a handful of times!!! Come on! Give the club a break!
Some people are only happy when they are moaning !!

I haven’t got a problem with a big screen… but putting it in Block 17 hasn’t helped people sitting in the Lyndhurst….if it was put in the corner between the Devonport and Mayflower… The top spenders in the club wouldn’t be able to see it clearly….So make your own mind up.

If this big screen takes around 2 seasons to pay for itself as is suggested self then I’m all for it.

The big screen is costing ‘six figures’ so using simple maths it should give an annual profit of £50,000 per season minimum. That’s a lot more money than the loss of ~ approx 124 seats can generate.

Brilliant move by the club, well done all involved 👍👍

the big screen manages to enhance the experience to the supporters on match days and concerts etc but also at the same time increasing the revenue made by the club to help us towards putting more money into other parts of the club.
With that kind of profit then surely its only a matter of time before the ground is renamed with a sponsor 🤫

Let's hope the players aren't distracted by it, I can't see the likes of Joe Edwards scoring another overhead classic like he did against Sheffield Wednesday if he's distracted at the wrong moment and is busy checking his hair just before attempting to score. It's alright for the Premier League players, they're used to it, but this is Argyle in L1.
I wonder how players possible manage to play football at the other grounds where big screens have been in place for many seasons now?

I think/hope people may be under-estimating how easy it will be to see from most of the Lyndhurst. As the screen is so big and at an angle, obviously you will have to look left but it should be very visible.

I remember being at Cheltenham, and the screen was incredibly easy to see from a similar position.

We haven't got the electronic hoardings either, which most similarly sized clubs now have (and I think you must have in Champ/PL) and seem much more potentially distracting.

I think I may have been whooshed, however some of the comments are crazy

neck injuries , screen glare, craning your neck , only for the rich fans

if it is that important to you move your flipping seat choice I am sure the club will be amenable, I believe the cheapest seats in the ground are in the mayflower stand.

also peoples impressions of money are outrageous.

spending £100k on a screen would have no impact at all on filling in a corner, and actually in 2 years the extra income will help fund the continued development , someone said of 10% of filling in a corner, that means £1m for a new corner stand which is crazy, you would be looking at 3 or 4 times that!

and where is the money coming from?
Mortgage - we have been there
Debt - we have been there
Owner - hasn’t he done enough?

unless you have that down the back of your sofa, please let the experts, led by our owner make the decisions they feel will be the right ones for the club,

if you don’t want to look at the screen , you don’t have too!

whilst I am not naive enough to think everyone will be happy , surely anything that will move our club to the next level should be looked at in a positive manner

the club is being run the most professionally it has been in my 40years as a fan and limiting price rises to help the fans, whilst managing money sensibly will pay dividends

You love your fag packet maths!

You've assumed that "a few short seasons" equates to "around 2 seasons", which it doesn't necessarily (and the club statement is deliberately vague), and your £50k profit hinges on it being "around 2 seasons". "A few" could easily be 4. Anyway, if it makes a profit in the medium term then that's great.

Also good that those who have long asked for a scoreboard, in order to know the score, will at last be put at ease.

Like I said, they're used to it. Also a lot of them have less complicated hairstyles so aren't too bothered.

Has anyone considered image rights of us fans. Imagine being in a witness protection scheme and getting your boat plastered all over a kiss kam type thing. What if I was pulling a sickie to watch a Play Off game, are Argyle going to compensate me for lost earnings if I got sacked ?

Too many quetsions, it's not been thought through.
