It seems if only Chris Errington had put the right number in his phone, then some of the negative comments might have been so bad on here. Looks like Lowe wanted to say goodbye to Green Army but didn't get the chance because of a wrong number.

I'm not buying that.

Over him now anyway, we've ended up with the better man IMO.

Sounds like a honest mistake by Chris Errington has probably added to some angst on our part.

When you take a new job life gets busy and then add in a house move and tieing up loose ends.

I get time will pass by as well so I think RL has put a few wrongs right in that interview. Any way move on "Shueys at the wheel"👍

You don't really believe that, do you?

If Lowe really wanted to contact the local press to put out a statement he could have done it through any number of people at Home Park he had worked with for the past 2.5 years. I'm sure he had their phone numbers.

Or he could have put out a statement on Twitter - which would have ended up on the Herald site about five seconds after it was posted.

He was too busy marvelling at how much "bigger and better" his new club were to spare a thought for the fans he had just spent years fist-pumping at.

He also still believes we were at "rock bottom" when he joined us. Er, no we weren't. We might have just been relegated, but we had a good set-up off the pitch, a very competitive budget for that league and the benefit of being a big fish in a small pond.

Lowe also had the unique opportunity to essentially transplant an entire promotion-winning set-up to his new club.

Rock bottom? Pull the other one mate. You had it on a plate and still nearly stuffed it up.

The presenter also made my teeth itch by twice saying Lowe had made Plymouth "home", when he'd actually done anything but. Schumacher, yes, but not Lowe. If he had really been committed to the club then he would have moved his family down. But he clearly saw it as a stop-gap move by leaving them up North.

The bloke is only in it for himself. Our new manager has shown more integrity, loyalty and humility in five minutes than Lowe showed the entire time he was with us.

Just read the transcript. I did this, I did that, I did this etc time again - not a great read.

I can't get as worked up as some about Lowe but I do like a bit of humility in a leader. Schuey certainly has that - and hopefully many of the other attributes needed for success. Time will tell - but he has certainly made a good start.

There are plenty of media outlets, local or national, where Lowe could have talked about himself even more and explain to everyone who would listen how much of a basket case club we were back in those horrific days before he arrived on a charging white steed from up north to save us.

Yes we were relegated but we were not rock bottom (why does he keep saying this?) and it's an insult to Simon Hallett and the club staff who off the pitch made sure we were a top class club back in 2019.

He left as his credibility was just about intact. He really had no choice in his mind, He had made a name for himself with us but we had started to loose a few games. He was worried that his star was slipping. In his mind he had no choice in case his value would slip too far. And repairing his family life up there was a real draw. He is motivated to the point of desperation. Sad really. He moved too soon.

To little, to late- the ship well & truly sailed when he scuttled out the backdoor & didn't so much as look back

The soundbite is deluded- the only planet he lives on his is own

We have the crown jewel in Schuey - the man with more decency , humility & kindness than soundbite could only dream of- the Riddler & Preston are welcome to him

I find it hard to understand that anyone believes any professional Footballer / Manager when speaking through the press about the club that’s providing their fantastic living, they will rarely be anything but over enthusiastic, most posters on this site have been supporting the club for years and would have heard similar sound bites many time before, the only people who care for the club are the supporters. It’s time for some people to move on.
