I watched yesterdays game and it confirmed my initial thoughts… it’s utterly woeful.women's football is all very pc and all that, is being pushed by the FA but in reality it really isn't very good compared to the men's game, hence the little actual interest in people going to watch it.
Since 1895 in England.Men's football has been developed for over 100 years.
Women's football has been going for how long?
Agree. Match of the day punditry is also rarely Illuminating. You could argue that every goal ever scored could have been prevented had the right defender been in the right place at the right time, yet pundits seem to enjoy membership of John Cleese’s ‘college of the bleeding obvious’.Match of the Day wastes far too much time on things that are not remotely highlights - taking the knee, managers chewing gum on the sidelines, meaningless interviews with players and managers who tell us the party line. Then they review the match with their pundits and we see glimpses of play that they didn't show during the highlights!
Meanwhile, local TV news and Sky tell us the result before they show us the goals!
Trust you to know that BG !Was banned for a while!

Fans rarely understand the game better than former players. Vaguely remember them trying it on C. 5 highlights. Was embarrassing. Re the the latter they need to stop sitting on the fence. Bit like on here for a few. Afraid to say anything against the grain.Agree. Match of the day punditry is also rarely Illuminating. If I was a MOTD producer I would swap pundits for some of the brighter fans who attended the match, and can often provide far more interesting insights into what’s happening with their team.
Both bans were equally unjust. Well mine more so!I think he was talking about Women’s football Derek, not himself!
