How someone could completely write him like I read the other day saying he doesn’t contribute anything snd is the most overrated player in years, is totally beyond me! The guy must assist Grant with 90% of his assists! They work so good together! We are blessed at present to have him and Broom and Camara! I would be like to see all 3 of them on the pitch! Maybe get Broom and Houghton playing like Rice and Phillips do for England and put DM and
Have you not noticed Broom plays a totally different role to Rice and Phillips?

Yes but what I was suggesting was he could adapt to that role it was a suggestion ie he drops a bit deeper plays the Phillips role and has Mayor, Camara and Hardie ahead of him!
I know he does not play that role now! I ain’t stupid I watch every game 🙈💚

What would be the point changing roles when he is very effective in a more attacking role? Even if he had the qualities to be more defensive.

Superb in his cameo again tonight. What other side wouldn't want to bring Danny Mayor on off the bench?!! One turn in the centre circle that wrong footed about 3 Bolton players was almost worth the entrance fee in itself
Talk about an exaggeration. He wriggled away from 1 player.

Just as in the Oxford game we had spent 20 minutes playing second fiddle and again the introduction of Mayor stemmed the tide and we kept possession better and saw the game out fairly comfortably in the end.

Jephcott retained the ball well and made some good flicks to create chances.

Mayor seemed to anticipate the deteriorating condition, made interceptions and carried the ball forward. He was unlucky not to score the third and looked devastated that he’d not put the ball in the net.

Both made useful contributions to take the game from Bolton who dominated the second half. That could have been due to the conditions in their favour second half, or Argyle sitting back on a two goal lead.

Overall a good team performance and great to see three or four Argyle players all busting a gut to get the ball over the line in the 92nd minute.
