They're toying with us... the real pity of it is that the green colour of the shirts in the advert for the Bolton game is the absolutely perfect shade in my opinion.
I have to agree, but green is green regardless of what shade the colour is.

Personally, I don't like it too dark, and I don't like it too light. There are plenty of other shades of green to choose from, when the Club wishes to change it.

The problem is that the Club DON'T appear to want to change it just yet. Maybe when we get back to the Championship we can then look forward to a new era.

A ‘brighter era’ perhaps? :p

The marketing writes itself…

Hmmm, are the Argyle media team touching up the shirts to look brighter in pics? :ROFLMAO::unsure:

Could be a trick of the light, but no way are they this bright, surely?

There’s absolutely no way that this image hasn’t been ‘lightened up’.

I’ve been working with Photoshop, Illustrator, Lightroom etc for years now, and it’s incredibly obvious that someone has either A. Tinkered with the Saturation settings or B. applied a filter of some kind.

Yep, so I suppose the question is ‘why’?

For what it’s worth I personally love the darker Argyle Green colour we wear these days.

they're not nearly as bright as the shirt in the Pilgrim image above (which is nice colour), whilst the ridiculously bright greens in the other photos bears no resemblance whatsoever to our current greenish dark grey shirts

I agree: The 'Pilgrim image above' is a nice colour. I'm not trying to impose my views on anyone, I'm happy to agree and compromise. There is a green that a majority of supporters could agree on, we just need to agree.
I just want a green to be green.
As Ian N. said (somewhere) there is the option of a predominantly white with a 'nice' green for the home and evening kits. Nobody moaned about the white banded kit in the 60s because, frankly, it was a work of art! (even tho' Adam wasn't even born then!). The green version which started as away but became home in following seasons was great too.

Let's have green green, nice green, 'Argyle' green, white in various amounts for different shirts. You can vary the green from season to season if you must. The stadium can reflect the 'brand' green if needs be.
I just want green!!

I think you’ve nailed it @Pogleswoody, the minimum requirement should be that it’s clearly a green shirt when you’re watching a game. And that isn’t the case.

You’ve nailed it with your other point too, which is that it seems entirely sensible to have an ‘official dark green‘ and an ‘official light green‘. You use one when dark green is more suitable, and one when light green is suitable.

That way you can keep the consistent branding, keep both sides happy, have the option to do various retro kits properly, and just generally have a bit of flexibility and variety. I take on board people’s objection to changing the shade every season, but surely two shades is manageable.

And as a bonus, you save the media team a bit of work in having the desired colour in the first place!

Many of us feel that way Pogles, but repeating it over and over again doesn't seem to be having any impact. Should we block the A38 instead?

How about absailing down some building in London dressed as superheroes? Then a march on Westminster.

What do we want?
Greener shirts!
When do we want it?
In the middle of October!

Just out of interest, how much profit a year does the club make out of selling replica shorts which seems to be at the heart of this issue? One green - different designs incorporating black and white - it's not rocket science surely.
