Two points dropped tonight, I think, because Crewe weren’t that good even though they battled hard.

We only seem to play well against teams that give us space - tonight and on Saturday we were lacking precision in the final third apart from for the goal.

If we lose Broom or Houghton to injury atm it will set us back considerably, they have both held things together and given us the impetus from midfield. A couple of weeks ago we were looking forward to having a strong bench back, and judging by the tiredness at the end tonight we need the likes of Cooper, Mayor and Ennis back in the frame now ASAP. I’m not sure Agard is the answer, and Garrick needs to be running onto balls rather than playing triangles with Broom.

Lincoln will be interesting, a real treble chance game.

Seeing the effects of our injuries and tiredness
playing 4 games in 10 days with the same team. Really need to a few back off the treatment table. I think we also see the challenge of bringing in younger players like Garrick and Law, they are going to have moments of excitement but also do some basics wrong and choose the wrong options. Feel for Garrick as he has played 3x different positions since arriving, and while clearly he has pace and some talent, and a few moment of magic (he did set Broom away for the cross for the goal) his decision making shows he is inexperienced.

Yeah, my view exactly.

There's a pattern emerging in our home games...

1-1 v Cambridge
1-1 v Fleetwood
1-1 v Crewe

And but for last-gasp goals against Gillingham and Doncaster we would have had quite the collection of 1-1 draws against teams we need to beat if we're going to establish ourselves as promotion contenders.

Was the Wednesday game a freak result? Or did RL just have us super motivated for that one?

For me we're lacking a little bit of creativity to unlock packed defences at home. I love Pan, but he's never going to thread a pass through the eye of a needle or bang one in from 30 yards. That puts all the pressure on Ryan Broom, who tried his best tonight but it didn't really happen for him - apart from his contribution to the goal.

We need Mayor back, or to try George Cooper out in midfield. Anything to give us a different set of tools to overcome the Crewes of this world at home.

We are not going to win every game- the early goal probably took the wind out of our sails but we stuck at it
This team are not a bunch of quitters & have shown they can come from behind
I do not understand the meltdown because it is assumed we should be beating the teams at the bottom of the league by a bucketload- football does not work like that
We have only played 10 games & we are still unbeaten in 9 games - the league is not won in September
I am more concerned about the players that were subbed (Conor & Willo) will they be available for Saturday

It’s not a meltdown from me. But we lacked composure in front of goal and we have a lot of games coming up where we won’t have 10 chances like that. We really needed to focus there and put some chances on target to turn the dominance into points.
I’m just relieved Broom and Hardie stepped up because it felt like we would have been there for a while trying to get a goal. As soon as any chance got near the box, all timing and composure seemed to fly out the window.
We need to be more ruthless.
Still it is another game unbeaten and another good performance.

We huffed and puffed without creating clear cut chances. Glad we were not beaten but compared to a few games ago we are only at 80 per cent. i wonder if we should give Agard a chance as he would at least offer a threat in the air. great goal by Hardie again - hope we see major soon.

We were better tonight than we were on Saturday. Swings & roundabouts. We’ve still had an outstanding start and we don’t look like losing.

Isnt the point that nobody looks anywhere near like scoring apart from Hardie? Broom and Camara would be fantastic players if they could shoot but they can't. We don't score from set pieces and we can't shoot from outside the box. How many corners have we had this season? Doesnt bode well.

Tiredness at the end? I thought that was when we looked our strongest.

Argyle unable to unlock the Crewe defence tonight until Hardie provided another cool finish. 4 points from 6, in triple 2nd, looking good. Games against teams higher in the league will be more attractive and winnable for Lowes team.

Players looked knackered. Camara, Edwards, Hardie, Houghton all had nothing in their legs come the end. Lack of squad depth showed through tonight due to injuries.

Garrick was awful and i thought Agard should have come on earlier.

Take a point as we battled hard.

Disagree. Garrick had a good second half. Dangerous cutting in from LWB, beat his man repeatedly and linked with Broom well, as we saw from the goal. Given he was playing on the wrong side I thought he did well. His issue is he can’t take his man on down the line at LWB cos he’s right footed. So we lose a bit of unpredictability that Grant gives us.

Not sure what game you were watching but we finished quite strongly and Garrick was definitely not 'awful'. Some good attacking runs and involved in the goal.

I assumed that at half time Lowe told him to get much further up the pitch, because that is what he did from the outset. Have to say he is no wing back, but Law is. Garrick uses his speed when playing a striker position and running in the middle, but does not out wide. Law does though and he found himself in some good positions tonight.

Garrick can run but his control ain’t great and he has no direction, he needs to watch brooms penetrating runs. I think jephers needs a rest on Saturday he’s looking like he did at the end of last season he started of so well, it was all going so well it’s seeming to drop off at the moment. Very slow tonight just couldn’t get it going.
