Personally would like to see Keiran alongside Ryan tonight..think Luke needs a little breather and Keiran is a proven goalscorer at this level who looks desperate to get his Argyle time up and running.
Feel it would do luke good to see what keiran is about and maybe get himself refocused.
Thoughts ?

It’s not just about the quality of the individual though. Jephcott and Hardie work well as a pairing. Agard (and indeed Ennis) may well be better players but the pairing of Jephcott and Hardie is certainly the most effective

Think it’ll be a bit harsh to rest any of our front two given the form they and the team are in. I expect the same starting line up as Saturday.

I don't care who plays as long as it's in white! Then the players can see each other. Still can't see them properly in the light black!

Same team for me, Agard and Garrick will only start if their form becomes amazing in their sub appearances or if we stop picking up points and scoring goals.
Hopefully we'll see some of the absent players fit enough to make the bench. What a bench it'll be once we get Mayor, Bolton, Ennis and Cooper back. Must say I'm worried about Cooper though......

It would be harsh to drop Luke after a goal on Saturday and his successful partnership with Hardie. Remember it is 3 and a half years since Agard scored a goal at this level and over 2 years since he scored a goal in any division. At 32 his best days are behind him and useful squad player as he might prove to be I honestly don't see him outperforming Luke over any period of time. Why do you feel Luke needs to refocus, refocus on what exactly?

I think it will be the same team tonight. It's interesting that there are quite a few conversations going on currently with respect to pundits, podcasts and the like, about the benefits of fielding a settled team each week rather than the idea of squad rotation. I think this is why we are hearing the word "recovery" so much in conversations about fitness and the number of games as managers are starting to return to the old ways of fielding the same, strongest 11 if successful and fit. If Galloway is fit then I would prefer to see him play as I think Argyle are more solid with him in the back 3 rather than Gillesphey. I would also prefer to see the partnership of Jephcott and Hardie continue although I accept that Jephcott looked very tired on Saturday and we sometimes forget how young he is! If Ennis, Mayor and George Cooper were fit then we would certainly have some more options available, substitutes or otherwise.

I look at the Hardie and Jephcott partnership and see the same issue in most games. There is nobody to hold the ball upfront.

Both just aren’t nowhere near the level of Ennis with his back to goal.

When we get pressed we go hit our passes, much longer & direct, and yet the ball keeps coming back because we don’t have that forward in the Jephcott and Hardie partnership to play off.

l can’t remember the last no9 Argyle had that was a good player but an absolute monster you couldn’t shift off the ball. We have had big units up front, like Marvin Morgan, but they were particularly great with their back to goal or in the air.

Think your point is a correct one, but that’s not the sort of football RL is playing, hence we are playing as we do, which is clearly an effective method.
