Bookies set their odds to make a profit – it isn’t simply a reflection of the probability of the outcome. In this case they will factor in that Joe Public will consider Pompey as the heavy-weight and will accept a poor price but fewer people will accept anything other than long-ish odds on lil’ol’Plymouth. One of the benefits of following a less glamourous side, especially when playing the faded glory-boys, is that we do get the chance to occasionally take advantage of these discrepancies. Having said that – I have a strong hunch a score draw is on the cards for this one.

Portsmouth FC blames scanner confusion for entry delays
Supporters missed up to 15 minutes of Saturday's match due to hold-ups at the turnstiles.

I think it was more the way the new ticketing system for season-ticket holders scanned the vouchers. It was chaotic by all accounts - a classic case of making operational changes and not bothering to test properly before rolling out.
I'm gonna allow plenty of time to get in tomorrow, although I don't think the problems should affect away supporters.
