Your reference to ‘our Yorkshire friend omitting facts' re Pulis. You’re too busy having a go at me to actually read my post, where I clearly mentioned his short tenure.

Whatever Tony Pulis previous record, he was a disaster at Hillsborough in very short order. He gave a very good press conference when he talked about passion, INTEGRITY of all things, etc etc. He then proceeded to alienate the entire support and the owner by delivering the worst football in living memory. It would then seem he didn't fancy losing his never getting relegated title and opted out. Watching his press conference back now, makes me feel physically sick. I’m sure most Palace fans feel the same about him.
The point I was making was that your Chairman does sack managers after only a short tenure, as he did with Pulis. The reasons behind the sacking are hearsay and on this occasion irrelevant.

They’re not irrelevant, that’s why they were mentioned in the press. His pathetic record and appalling football aren’t hearsay either.

Chansiri doesn’t generally sack his managers after a short tenure. Pulis yes deservedly so. Monk had 58 games, Carvalhal 132 and he was flirting with Swansea anyway. Bruce left to go to Newcastle after 18 games (delighted to see what a good move that proved to be). Luhukay who was completely out of his depth, got 48 games.

Wednesday are a good team, Moore is a good manager who will get results and I recon he will be given time to show this. What this means is we don't need to worry about them poaching our as yet unproven manager, who I hope will have a much better CV at the end of the season.

I have no doubt he would go if offered the job, Argyle to the championship is as far as he can take us with our resources.

Lowe will go to Wednesday if offered the job. If Moore goes, and Ryan’s stock is high (as it is at the moment), then everything aligns nicely. That rarely happens and with Lowe wanting to manage them at one stage in the future- this could be his only chance. So he will take it. Why wouldn’t he? Let’s not kid ourselves here and if he goes I would wish him well and be confident that Hallett and our club have a strategy in place that isn’t reliant on one man.

What a mixed bag of managers that is. A total contrast in styles, backgrounds and characters.

It's no surprise Wednesday ended up getting relegated as it seems there's a lack of any coherent tactical/style strategy or succession plan.

I disagree.
I believe that he has an exciting project here with good backup staff around him and he will see it out.
Most managers would hope to have a career of 20 years or more and he has plenty of time to achieve the ‘ambition’ referred to.
If he is successful in this project, Sheffield Wednesday may be at the bottom end of his ambitions.

Lowe’s not stupid, and he knows that in football management timing is everything. Why quit a club which is moving upward, with potential (I know we all hate the p word) being realised, for one which has all the opposite problems, and may take several managers before they’re back on track. Look at Luggy when he left us for Southampton. He was fired when they were in mid table and improving, and I’m sure he must regret that apparent career advancement.

I wonder if Sturrock does regret it though. I somehow doubt it. He managed two big clubs and got Wednesday promoted too. As he said whilst at Wednesday ‘Somebody will be a hero here one day’. He didn’t make it to that level, but is still highly regarded there.

As in most walks of life, people with drive often seek bigger challenges and Lowe will be no different. He, like most football managers, also knows if he hangs around for too long, he will be sacked.
That’s the balancing act of being a successful football manager.

If Lowe went to Sheff Wed and only lasted 6 months it be really tarnish his decent looking CV imo. We could be in a higher division than Wednesday next year anyway.

Why would Lowe leave a stable upwardly mobile club like Argyle for a basket case of a club on a downward spiral like Sheffield Wednesday?
Oh dear. Predictably pathetic comment with predictable thumbs up from Ponty. At least I try to engage in the debate on this site instead of making crass comments like this.
