Always feel a little conflicted about DA, reading this thread though there's a real split of opinion generally speaking.

When he first arrived I was impressed but he made a mess of trying to get us promoted after inheriting a good team from Sheridan.

Then he got us up but like many, it was a flat feeling promotion.

The following season we were awful......then brilliant! Carey and Lamieras as interchanging no.10s was a masterstroke.

Then somehow he gets us relegated whilst having a cracking front 3.

A real roller coaster. They do say the sign of a good manager is to leave the club in better shape than you inherit it. He inherited us in league 2 with Nelse, Hartley, Reid, Brunt, McHugh, Luke, Mellor, etc and left us in league 2 with the likes of Wootton, Canavan, Moore, Joel Grant, etc. So all in all his spell was a failure, taking us backwards in every sense.

That said, forever grateful for seeing Carey in green.

Or he knows his level.

A short term league two promotion specialist and no more.

History has shown that players/boards can only stomach his methods for so long.

Similar to what we have now then?

Can we please stop talking about Adams on here. A boring man with boring tactics who completely lost the respect of players and fans and whose last job wasn't even at Argyle. He got us promoted from League 2 - so what? It was the flattest promotion I've ever experienced. The only reason to be grateful to him is for signing Carey and Lameiras. But he even couldn't get them to play well enough consistently enough to keep us from going down in the most spectacular fashion. Let's just move on and forget about him.

Stop talking about him? You just wrote a whole essay on him!

Songo'o come on down!! :scarf:

I know from reading pasoti that Dadams is a great manager and motivator, he'll have them playing his exhilarating uberattacking football in no time!

If he can make Bradford the 4th highest goal scorers in the League with the same result at the end of the season as he did at Morecambe I think the Bradford fans would be calling him a football genius as well.

Will be interesting to see if any current or former players join him as many live in the Leeds and Greater Manchester area.

This one isn't

Although sounds like Songo'o is heading over the Pennines.

Adams has won promotion with all three clubs he has managed. His achievements at Morecombe are fantastic really- that club was a relegation candidate.

If he does go to Bradford then I wonder what Niall Canavan will be thinking ?!
Perhaps it was, I will get to be made Club Captain now.

"We're not an Exeter, so to speak, who throw young players in, don't really want to get promoted and are happy to stay in the division but the ethos is sell a player on and generate enough money. Would the Bradford City fans be happy with that? I don't think so"

Never change Derek.

Fair enough if you like that sort of thing, but just remember that when Steve Evans acts like a complete tool on Saturday. Peas in a pod.

Meh, I'm a lot happier with Ryan Lowe at the helm but I've also got no problem with comments like the above, they're just designed to wind people up and play to the fans, that goes for any manager including Evans - he's a pantomime villain and it makes me laugh when people get all offended by his antics as if they didn't expect them, all part of the theatre and entertainment of football.

I will make 2 points:
1) Isn’t he expressing the view of Exeter held and said by many Argyle fans.
2) It was said 3 days after playing Exeter so obviously not trying to stir up anything with them.

He must admit to having something in common with the chinos though.
They both know how to completely bottle it at Wembley

Well he made amends with Morecambe, an amazing achievement.
