I always assumed that once Trevor East was appointed a Director we would be looking to use his expertise and contacts to try and develop new income streams in this field.

Hopefully it will bring in a few bob each year, which will eventually help the team. The one observation I would have is that now I am paying £45 for content which was once mostly free, my expectations of that content are a bit higher. For example, I hope we can get access to replays say the next day, as well as all the behind scenes material.

I would also like to say that I am enjoying the weekly podcasts they are a great (and free of charge) addition.

Yes, I had the same reservations on this.
I am surprised that non Argyle TV subscribers cannot access contact say for example 3 days after being published on the website.
Seems all a bit closed shop.

Why would any organisation have a subscription service that then allows non-subscribers rapid access. Have you tried to go behind the paywall of the newspapers who operate them?

Today I asked Argyle TV.
I was wondering why UK subscribers could not get the TV pre- and post-game shows live on a video feed, with the connection switched to audio only at 15:00.
As the implication from the website is that UK subscribers get audio only. They responded very quickly.

This is very much the plan, and will be the case for next Saturday’s game with Gillingham, although there is no pre-game shows for away games currently, this is something we are looking at for a little later this season.
Which makes the subscription for UK residents a better bet than iFollow

I'm glad there's a restriction on broadcasting 3pm games. I hope it stays that way.
If Argyle were allowed to broadcast their 3pm home games then so would every other EFL club. The Premier League would then be able to argue that they should be able to broadcast 3pm games too - that's where the problems come in. Attendances at EFL games would then take a hit.

If people are unwilling or unable to go then subscribing to Argyle TV seems to be the sensible option - listen to the game on Saturday or watch the whole game via replay a day or so later. Seems a fair trade off to me.

I understand the reasons behind the 3 o'clock Saturday gamed.
However, it was suspended last season and, with Covid still prevalent, I would have expected the rule to be waived at least in the short term. Just because the government has lifted restrictions doesn't mean it is safe to do so.
I would be there this afternoon, but have to settle for audio.

It's nice being able to cast the commentary to the TV. I hope after the pre-match shows they are able to leave some on screen graphics showing the score/scorers etc during the game

Cambridge fans can watch the live stream for Tuesday's game for £10 on iFollow, so Argyle will probably announce something over the weekend for StreamAMG, although they'd be wary of not announcing too soon because it will affect ticket sales for actually attending the game.

It looks like the club have changed the timing release of Lowe's and player official pre-match interviews, in previous seasons they were on You Tube on a Thursday before the game but so far nothing on You Tube or Argyle TV or in written form on the club website from Lowe about the Gillingham game.
There were interviews published on Plymouth Live yesterday.

Gillingham highlights from Argyle TV.

There is an extended 10 minute version or a 2 minute package.

The long version shows the ifollow logo as the 2nd half coverage commences. The commentary is, I'd suggest, from tge away team. The shorter version has no commentary at all.

Any idea why this might be?

I have just looked at the Full Match package on Argyle TV but I slid the time onto the 87th minute (the clock and full logos are now on screen). I watched the Jephcott goal and thre subsequent minutes plus the post match scenes.

My hat off to a fantastic commentary from Rob McNichol and the advantages of the four camera coverage that captured them elation, emotion and ecstasy of the Jephcott goal as I remembered it at the game. It was so good I played it again and for me it fully justified the merit of an Argyle TV offering. Well done to everyone involved.

Whilst the Full Match package is only on Argyle TV at they moment I hope that it will be available to others in a day or so as it encapsulated one of the great Home Park moments perfectly And every Argyle fan would want to relive it.

Thank you Graham, a good steer, which I’ve just followed and, of course, enjoyed! As I will time & time again…..reminiscent, albeit under very different circumstance, of “that Roar”! at ca.4.44 on 4/4/04👍💚
