I have to say off the pitch you have to be impressed. Some of the way we are going about upgrades on facilities is really impressive.

The club is going in the right direction. Off the field we are very professional and Argyle TV is a new platform showcasing our club in such a positive way.

My only concern is if things donā€™t go well on the field. I hope Simon Hallett understands that Argyle fans will be critical and l just hope he doesnā€™t take it personally. Everything since his ownership has been positive but on field if things carry on like they did last season then fans will criticise the club because what matters the most to fans is watching good football. If results are iffy but football is good then l think most fans are realistic. However, if football is dour and results arenā€™t good, like last season, fans will vote with their wallet.
That's my fear as well. His 'why do I bother' comment on Twitter the other day really shook me. We have some knobhead fans and he WILL come in for criticism at some stage and they will show their displeasure in a way that most decent people won't agree with.

My concern from his comment the other day is here is a man totally invested in his vision. I totally understand he has an opinion that comes from a great background of business. So he has the experience to fall back on. Yet l also believe a football fan is a customer and has a right to provide any constructive criticism.

However, what really concerns me is the on field stuff. He is a fan. He is emotional invested with Ryan Lowe. If things go similar to last season and the fans get on his back if they loose faith in Lowe, how will he react? Thatā€™s my worry. Especially if he choose to carry on supporting Lowe but the fanbase loose the faith. You might say but the majority are behind Lowe. Thatā€™s true. However, the majority were behind Adams but patience just snapped like a tidal wave.

l hope if Lowe proves to be unsuccessful that Simon Hallett wonā€™t be upset by the criticism that will come the clubs way if Lowe keeps choosing to ignore ongoing on field issues with his system and style of play.

I notice the ugly lamppost floodlights are still in place in front of Bobbyā€™s Garden - didnā€™t someone mention earlier that the lighting company were due back last week to finish off the work? If so, are those lights now staying put? Anyone know?

I ran past the ground today and the big 'box' that has been sat outside the Devonport End for ages has now gone.

I'm surprised to read some recent posts praising the tannoy system. At the Middlesbrough friendly is was STILL absolutely appalling and completely unintelligible from the middle/back of the Lyndhurst Stand. It doesn't help that the person speaking tends to speak too quickly and not very clearly but mostly I get the feeling that it is just not a very good system (but maybe not as bad as the sound for a gig at the Pavilions...)
