Second half was much better.

Randell look excellent. Law had a very good second half.

We created some good opportunities. We pressed at times really well in the second half. It was more aggressive. The passing was improved. More of a zip about us.

The defence looks assured.

Some good signs. Just got to cut out the bad habits of their 1st goal which is not about today’s PSF but what we been doing under Lowe’s tenure.
‘Bad habits of their first goal….what we been doing under Lowe’s tenure’?
Of course, it was a mistake by Mayor pure and simple.
That can happen under any manager’s tenure.
Isn’t it time to give RL a chance to see if he can improve and cut out the ‘bad habits’ that you refer to?
He has changed our defence and there were good signs that their experience will mean that there will be fewer ‘bad habits’.

Liked Galloway tonight, positional play was very good and his leadership was brilliant i thought. He adds that voice that we desperately missed last season, constantly telling the line where to be, where to move etc. Lets hope he signs and stays fit.

Lowe said after the game not much you can do. The guy scored a worldie.

l guess lm just watching a different game.

As for the mistake l can remember numerous times we got caught in that way. It’s not just Mayor.

Fleetwood’s first goal feels very identical to that of today’s game. This time Camara, who l adore, gets caught in same fashion.

Its got nothing to do with giving Lowe a chance. I’ve always stayed consistent. Never said he should be sacked. Yet lm not going to not comment on what l feel are repetitive errors. Someone is telling them to play in these areas. Otherwise they wouldn’t be in his team.

If you look at a post after the game l was pretty complementary about what l saw tonight. I think lm pretty fair and given how bad tactically we were last season l think it’s fair game to raise tactical issues.

And you were all wrong. If I was Adam Randell and was brought back to play a couple dead rubbers and taken out of the promotion run in with Torquay, I would be absolutely livid. It'd be a horrible way to manage a youth player with big potential.
I would have sent Fornah back and played Randell, couldn't have done any worse and frankly when Fornah first arrived he had less match experience than Randell. BTW argyles need comes before torquays.

I may be jumping the gun here but, had he not already signed, why would he play? I believe that by playing Galloway, RL has his signature in the bag.

Thought we lacked width first half but much better after the break. Some good stuff played tonight with Law and Randell featuring well. Also some great skills from Ennis.

Argyle TV was pretty good. Rob ”let me just break off from prattling on” McNicholl could do with toning it down a bit. If it’s beyond Argyle TV to give us a clock and the score, maybe Argyle could invest in a clock / scoreboard somewhere in the ground to help attendees and viewers.
I agree about Rob McNicholl no doubt he means we'll but but he really shut cut down on the often irrelevant waffle.

We didn’t have a need at that point. It’s a decision that would potentially demoralise and anger one of our star youngsters. If it was in January then fair enough, but just for the last few games? Would’ve been a ridiculous decision. The experience he would’ve gained in that run-in and playoffs will be huge for him.

No problem with most of your observations, Mickey.
It’s just that you seem to need to put a ‘sting in the tail’ to find a reason to criticise the manager’s ‘tenure’.
Every team makes mistakes; if a Swansea defender hadn’t missed the ball in the 6 yard box, we wouldn’t have scored. Is that their manager’s fault?

I like Rob but I do find he spends a lot of time apologising and criticising himself.
Stoney is an excellent co-commentator and his involvement with the Academy provides interesting insights into the young players’ development and progress.
It’s Ran-dull not Ran-dell and that’s official.

I think I am correct in saying a club can play whom they like in a 'friendly'. A contract signature is required for Football League matches and FA Cup games. Correct me should I be wrong.

I was only half watching, but thought Randell was not just promising youth player 'good' but starting 11 'good.'

We seemed to create more chances than we were doing at the end of last season, and the centre backs look like an upgrade.

Has to be borne in mind that our goal was an extraordinary gift of the kind that we won't get in real games, and our good spell in the second half came when Swansea were 2-0 up and had made lots of substitutions.

Worries: The wing back system still seems to allow our opponents a lot of space out wide, and for me their second goal was really poor. The Swansea midfielder who had the initial shot (saved well by Cooper) wasn't tracked, I think by Conor Grant, and was able to get goal side of him for a clear strike from close range... the second ball was uncontested (I think Ennis was nearest player, slightly more excusable for a striker) again allowing the Swansea player a shot under no pressure from the edge of the box that deflected in. Have to do better in those kind of situations.

With the style of football RL is trying to get the team to play losing the ball in midfield in your own half is a hazard that is going to happen now and then and happens to a lot better teams than us. With Mayor for instance he probably gets the ball off the back three more than any other player and on many occasions has managed to turn and create an attacking option but he will get caught from time to time giving the ball away to the opposition. I personally prefer this style of football but I sort of understand those that don’t and would prefer the ball being in the opposition half a lot quicker but under RL this isn’t going to happen and all the moaning isn’t going to change a thing.

You said you were only half watching? Are you sure you were watching at all?
The first goal Danny was dispossessed in our half and they scored from it!
The second was not Ennis being lazy on the edge of the box it was Danny!
We scored when they had only made one substitution not lots!
How could you be so wrong!

Don't know who made it official Ian, but I asked him about 18 months - 2 years ago and he said it's Ran -dell.

Excellent perfpormance,. Law, Randell and the lad on trial were all excellent. The downside was Swansea had two chances and scored two, we had seven good opportunities and scored one which he could hardly have missed, this is concerning although very early days, Shirley looks more of a threat than Jephcott.
