There's no pleasing some people. Which well known actor with an real Plymouth accent would you have used instead? _________________ PASOTI - Plymouth Argyle SUPPORTERS on the Internet. The clue is in the name.

Well, it made me laugh.
Loved his mates he picked up on the way - 'Big Dave' the shortarse, 'Bhey, 'Burrd' and 'Janner'
It's deffo Paul Whitehouse (on 'Wiki' has him down as doing an advert for Aviva sometime in August) so he's bound to send us up! |

| Thinking about it,does it reinforce a stereotype [Dirk Van nostrilboy, jester hats,Argoyle, etc] or is it a harmless bit of fun? I must admit i had a bit of a chuckle, whilst being slightly embarassed at the image portrayed.Still, all publicity is good publicity as somebody once said...... |

| Laughed my ead off couldn't believe what I was seeing......my immediate reaction was that they must have done adverts for each region doing different clubs but from these posts it appears not....did the club get any money? royalties. Have it taped in case it never appears again. Any publicity is good for the club and something that makes people laugh generally is good. I have no problem with it GRRRRRRRREEEEN ARRRRMMMMYYY......well done Mr Whitehouse |

My first thought was that he must have been the inspiration for the character. _________________ PASOTI - Plymouth Argyle SUPPORTERS on the Internet. The clue is in the name.

Thought it was a hoot - bound to be the "this is an insulting stereotype" brigade who lack a sense of humour and take themselves far too seriously but it pretty much sums up being an Argyle fan I thought!
And whoever scripted it knows his stuff - heard "Get on" a couple of times and "janner". Yep, that's us all right. But leaving for Newcastle in the hours of daylight was clearly being over optimistic, unless ofcourse it was the day before... |
