He was supposed to be the next big thing with trials at Sunderland and whatnot, so playing a little out of position in non-league really shouldn't be that beyond him.

I've managed Park Football and, sure, it is not the same, but watching someone play for 10 minutes was usually enough to see if they could play or not. 10 minutes chat to see how their 'character' might fit in, OK? = sign them up. Usually position played never featured. Good players can play. Get 11 'players' and you can build a team, I played everywhere, every position but, again, I appreciate not at that level.
