A simple yes or no or undecided. No discussion, no debate, no comments other than a yes or a no or an undecided. I can't create a poll but it would be nice.

Undecided.

I think we need to await the words of wisdom from all 10 candidates.

I always vote in any election in which I am enfranchised.

I regard it as a civic and social duty, even in an election of this type.

Of all the candidates to stand, at least one of them will be a tolerable option, I am sure of that.

So - yes.

Only members (a.k.a. season ticket holders) get a vote.

I'm guessing one member one vote but whether it will be first past the post, proportional representation, single transferable vote or whatever we will learn when the voting stuff goes out.

I am a season ticket holder, but the more I hear, the more I think it's going to be a stitch up. The voting is not going to be representative of the fan base.

You may have noticed from the 'Candidate Tony Hooper / Cholwell' thread that Tony reckons because there are 6 available seats to be split between a list of 10 candidates it would be usual to give all voters up to 6 votes.

I hope it doesn't happen but it's possible that a certain supporters group will encourage it's members to vote for it's preferred candidates and the independents will be left out in the cold.

I think we're already battling almost total apathy except for the handful of interested parties and I fear many members will think WTF and consign their voting pack to the bin.

David, I understand your fears and even agree with your analysis.

However, it is up to candidates to get out and show themselves. It will be to late to say or do this and that AFTER the event. If Im honest I dont think it helps not knowing the timetable or number of votes or what the supporters groups propose for their places. I am sure there are valid reasons but from a strategic point of view, its not helpful.

I think we have to plough on and try to get out message across to as many people as possible and try to inject some enthusiasm. Perhaps, when the date for the hustings is announced/election papers are posted out we can all plan a little smarter.

I havent heard anything, so I guess we are waiting on the ERS to confirm they are going to oversee the process and the timetable.
