Hello to everyone just a post for any questions fans may want to ask me in the hope I can carry enough support to get myself elected to PASB. I will answer all question as honestly and as openly as possible. But here are a few things that you may want to know.

I am a Trust member and support the principles of the trust 100%. I get a little annoyed hearing some views people hitting out at individuals on the trust these are electable positions and as such people will be judged on their record at the ballot. People forget that the trust is in its infancy but do not under estimate the part it played in saving our club. I believe we should be promoting the trust, its beliefs and make sure it blossoms. I believe PASB can only enhance this. Although I am a member of the trust I have not been active within it and have stood for PASB independently.

For me number one is getting fans back to the ground, obviously this is not currently going to be via a cash windfall and the greatest squad of players ever to grace Home Park (Mind you Luggy didn't need it in the early days) So other initiatives are needed, more entertainment needed for matchday experience, (Look at what GT's have done outstanding) I'm sure there is plenty of local talent or groups that would like to spotlight themselves before matches and people need value for money, obviously this kind of thing would need fine tuning but it is the kind of initiative that needs exploring.

Bigger influence needed over Local Football leagues to get people in the ground and once more interested in PAFC, one deffo should be the playing of finals should come back to Home Park.

More player and club interaction at local schools, get them young. And in answer to a question that was asked on another candidates board I think that a family ticket should be sold on the basis that the family can sit wherever they wish in the ground, safety and suitability of seating should be policed by parents or elders escorting kids to matches. The stewards should be ensuring that everywhere in the ground is compliant with this ethos whilst remembering that this is a passionate affair......i.e stop harrasing fans for stupid misdemeanours, for example I do not find it heinous that a fan may wish to stand up from their seat as the temperature rises and that includes away supporters whom I believe have been treated very badly over the years.

The relaunch of the Argyle Lottery and people selling door to door..... their are thousands of people in this city that will give a little if we go looking for them. A small commission on ticket sales and bonus for those selling winning tickets should mean there are takers for these positions. This should also be aimed at all local Pubs and Clubs to promote the club.

Promotion of Grandstand area rebuild as a matter of urgency. In my mind probably one of the clubs previous biggest errors and now with finances as they are something which I believe is vital. I am not a businessman but surely this area is the commercial hub of the stadium and as such should have been stage 1 before anywhere else in the stadium was completed. Brand new clubhouse within this development should be open 7 days a week and earmarked members only for matchdays only. The development of central park is drawing more people in and this should be a good way of increasing profit.

All catering to be bought back in house to increase sales and sell quality (locally sourced where possible) products at realistic and value for money prices.

Ticket sales should definitely be upgraded and available online, I find it astounding that in this day and age a trip to the box office or a telphone queue is required.

More coverage in the local press and keep fans updated daily, even the mundane Argyle fans will read anything to do with the club and it seems to me that press coverage is shrinking over the years. I would like to see an article in the Herald every week written by or completely dedicated to fans views.

Finally a strange one that has crossed my mind and I am no accountant.....in house bookmakers, I have no idea of the legal implications of this and what is required, all I know is people like a bet and the old addage is you never see a poor bookie, could we explore this?

Obvoiusly these issues are my thoughts and as such are only that, clearly the PASB will set its own agenda and work on the fans behalf as a collective. This is just an insight in to some issues that I would like to put forward as avenues that maybe explored if adopted by the group. You will all realise that a brand new PASB with members all with conflicting views would be silly a concensus needs to be reached on what should be taken forward and also the views of the club will need to be listened to, and made public.

I know much of this post is about finance but the club needs to rebuild and help itself to thrive, and finally I would expect PASB to have full sight of all income and expenditure to ensure the club was behaving ethically......otherwise this would be a toothless exercise.

Miles. The influence over the local leagues is a very interesting point and one I'd fully endorse. In addition, the lottery idea is a good one and the catering issue you've approached are both good, positive things. Keep this up and I might change my mind and vote.

Hairy thanks for feedback, I hope you do vote for whoever..... and obviously I'd like it to be for me......my thought is this the club are going to some expence to make this thing work and even if people think this isn't a good idea one thing is not in doubt it is a voice for the fans, and most importantly fans will have insiders with critical information. Don't pass up this chance.

Nice one Miles.

There is now a lot of activity, awareness and discussion surrounding the PASB election which can only be good for the process.

Ive started to count....mmmm not many people that interested ......something tells me this election should have been open doors to all Argyle fans and run by The Herald. I will still be campaigning as I want this position badly.... but to be honest club members of which I am one are not really those that we need to engage....its the stay aways we need.
Next election needs to be oh so different!!!
We have already alienated those that we want to embrace.

I fear the PASB election is in danger of failing through lack of interest. The whole process has become far too protracted through wanting to do it "properly" and I reckon something quick & easy at the time the PASB was first suggested by JB would have produced just as good a result.

Then the PASB would have been up & running before now and able to get involved in the important stuff rather than still being on the sidelines.

It's good that 4 people have put their heads above the parapet but I do wonder about the other 6.

OK they may not be PASOTI regulars but most people use the internet and if they're keen enough to stand for the PASB then they should at least be aware of this website?

I'm certainly more inclined to vote for the candidates who have told us a little about where they stand rather than those I know nothing about.

David

Whilst agreeing with much of what you say, we are where we are.

One of the reasons we may not have heard from all the candidates is that I heard on Saturday that one person put their name forward thinking it was for the Supporters group section rather than the individual ballot.

As I say, we are where we are and I think Jon, Miles and myself despite any differences will be united in trying to win people over to what the PASB can do and trying to get enough support so we can be part of it.
