What's beta?

Are you talking about an update for fm12 or actually downloading fm13?

It is like a demo version of FM13, you can usually play up until Xmas in the game, and then continue your game when you purchase the full copy. Also gives people the opportunity to inform the developers of any bugs so they can prepare a patch for shortly after the game's release date.

And you download this via steam? Eagerly awaiting the release of fm13 so this could give me a quick fix between now and then!!

I do, but will prefer it when I get the facepacks etc. Feels much more old school, the classic mode that is. The in-depth mode just got a bit much for me, especially when trying to deal with two children under 3 whenever I had the time to play it after work!!

Same. I thought it is too intense and found trying to win a match took far too much effort. Good graphics for the actual match but maybe my assistant needs to do more/everything!!

I started with Torquay and won the league in my first season but by far the hardest promotion i've ever had on any of the fm games - came down to the last game!

finding it hard in league 1, no players want to join me!

Gilmartin just scored from a goal kick. First time I've ever had that happen in FM.

I really like the FM-lite feature. I just haven't got time to play the full game so it's great to be able to zip through a season in a week or so.

Haven't got the game yet, but the 'lite'/classic mode would be good for me, Laptop is struggling enough with FM12, but don't like the idea of paying for a new game just to play a cut down version... Maybe a new laptop should come 1st
